It’s All a Part of the Game

Char Saint Thee Stylist

I will always value, admire and appreciate the story of a person who starts with nothing and turns that nothing into a whole lot of something, and more.

For example, Gabrielle Bonheur “Coco” Chanel was born on August 19, 1883 and died on January 10, 1971. During her short time, the French native went on to leave her permanent mark in the world as the fashion designer, founder and namesake of the Chanel brand.

My favorite part of Gabrielle Bonheur “Coco” Chanel’s story is that her success begun with designing hats as a diversion which eventually evolved into a commercial enterprise that is still going strong at the time of publication. Success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.

Moral of the story is that whether it’s success or failure, the journey is very personal and it will vary based on the individual. But be sure to remember that each milestone, albeit, a lesson learned or an accomplishment gained is certainly a moment to celebrate! So cheers to the journey!! And remember while it may be personal, you’re never alone. Xoxo, to my stylistic saints & sinners.

Since 1804 Haiti has been working to restore what the French & Spaniards’ destroyed. Today, July 16, 2018, it appears that those efforts to break free have proven that with action comes consequence. The video below depicts what I refer to as the “tip of the iceberg.” Thanks to Vox Boarders for an informative piece. Vox Boarders – Haiti.
